They are certainly the more economical choice, since greenhouse blueprints typically cost around fifty dollars. Free greenhouse plans are easy to find. Any search engine will throw many results back to you in a search. You can find most kinds of greenhouse plans for free if you just look enough. The plans will usually consist of a picture with dimensions for the parts for the sides and the roof and have a few written instructions below the pictures. The plans are simplified, and someone who has never built anything before may not find them to be enough, but the best option would be to take a look at a few and see if you think it seems doable. You may find it to be relatively easy a job, you may decide to buy blueprints, or you may decide to go with a kit. This is certainly the cheapest way to go about getting yourself a greenhouse.

Solar Greenhouse Plans

Just as with other greenhouses, you can get a kit to build a solar greenhouse, get blueprints and build one yourself or get free plans online and build one yourself. Keep in mind a solar greenhouse needs to keep as much heat in it as possible, so being as airtight as possible is essential. Insulation will help here, and 55 gallon water drums, rocks, or concrete are usually used to retain the heat in solar greenhouses. As with all other greenhouses, a basic internet search will give you dozens of ways to get yourself a solar greenhouse.
