Kids Play Houses

Kids Playhouse

Playhouses have been around for a long time. But where as they started off as simple plastic structures with empty frames for windows, and perhaps a working door; they’ve grown both bigger and more elaborate

You can get your kid a playhouse made of hard plastic, wood, or even brick. They also come in the form of tents that can be crawled into. Kids love these houses, as they can feel like a grown-up, being in charge of their own home. Some of the more elaborate ones even have working satellite television, indoor pluming, air conditioning, electricity, and places to sleep, eat, and use the restroom.

These playhouses may have once been though of just as cute little toys for the kids to play with in the backyard have become more and more like the real thing. Enough so that a kid doesn’t even need to play outdoors anymore, they can just go from one house to the other.

Free Kids Playhouse Plans

Online you can find plans to build numerous types of kids playhouses. You can also get plans for forts. These will take some wood, a saw, some nuts and bolts, and a lot of time, but in the end it’ll be less costly than having them manufactured (the prices of kids playhouses range anywhere from $70 for a playhouse tent, to over $100,000 for a 15-foot brick and stone structure).

Enclosed Kids Playhouses

Enclosed spaces actually help children grow. Being in small quarters forces them to use their imaginations more, which helps with their mental growth. Therefore, a kids playhouse is not only a fun place for them to play, it’s a place for them to grow as people (albeit the little people they currently are).

Most playhouses are anywhere from 5-15 feet tall, and usually the floor dimensions range anywhere from 4”X2” to as large as 12”X15”. While these may still be fairly large structures for the kids, they are still fairly small enclosed spaces as opposed to an open backyard with a few scattered toys. Children playing in these homes will come up with full storylines to play out inside their private home, and learn how to become the adults they will one day be. The price tag might be high, but the value is worth it.
