Sunrooms
Sunrooms can add a nice extra room to your home that can be used year-round. Sunrooms are great, because they add extra space without a tremendous additional cost of truly adding on. Sunrooms come in a variety of forms. They can be fully enclosed additions to your home with walls and windows. If this kind of price tag is a bit too dear for you, there are options that will be easier on your wallet. Lean-to’s are sunrooms that contour to the side of the house, where they are intended to be erected. Mini lean-to’s can be significantly less expensive than even mini sunrooms. They are essentially large cabinets with structure, shelves and covering like a full sized sunroom. Or they can exist like an indoor porch, with posts holding them up and screens keeping the bugs out.
Sunroom Furniture
When you’re looking to buy sunrooms, you can either build them yourself or you can hire someone to build them for you. You will get the best insulation if you put it, at least partially, underground. If you prefer, you can keep your cold frame above ground. It is best if you can make your cold frame face south. You will get the best heating if you can place your cold frame next to a house, but putting it against any other structure will help to protect it and add heat. The main ingredient in your cold frame will be an old window sash. The glass from the window is perfect for letting in sunlight. The window will also decide the size of your cold frame and the dimensions of the rest of your materials. Sunrooms aren’t the most complex of all building projects, but at the same time if you want it done right you may want to hire someone to get the job done for you.
Four Seasons Sunrooms
If you’re building your sunrooms yourself, you should take the time to research how much space you need for your sunrooms and find the right materials to get the job done. Plastic cold frames are good options, and there are different types as well. There are hard plastic cold frames that can function just as home-made wood and glass one would. You can put it partially in the ground and use is all through the winter. Additionally, due to the lightweight material, these are usually lighter. Having sunrooms on your home can be a great addition for you and your family to relax and enjoy the nice outdoors without really ever leaving your home.
